Description: Cables in cashmere, what could be better! Envelop yourself in luxury by knitting this scarf or wrap in DK weight cashmere. The woven cable motif grows naturally out of 2×2 ribbing; simple, yet elegant. The scarf is knit from one short end to the other, with a diamond motif on each end with 2x2 ribbing in between. The wrap is knit from one short end to the other but has 3 repeats of the motif across the width. On the wrap, the triple cable diamond motif is repeated three times along the length of the wrap, so that one motif sits right between your shoulder blades when you wear it.

Yarn used in photo: Black Pearl Yarns 100% Cashmere DK, 2oz skeins; 13 wpi.

Suggested yarn weight: LIGHT

Yarn amounts: For scarf: 2 skeins (400 yds) in color Singapore Smoke. For wrap: 6 skeins (1200 yds) in color Polynesian Plum

Difficulty level: INTERMEDIATE

Sizes: Scarf: 5 inches (13 cm) wide, 66 inches (168 cm) long. Wrap: 14 inches (36 cm) wide, 68 inches (173 cm) long.

Gauge: 32 stitches and 24 rows per 4.75 inches wide and 4 inches tall (12x10 cm) in cable pattern after blocking

Needles used: 3.5mm (US 4) circular or straight needles for flat knitting or size needed to obtain gauge
