Zephyrous Shawl

Description: Zephyros is the Spring Wind in Greek Mythology, the wind of change. Welcome the new life of spring with this clean-lined shawl. Solid enough to keep the chill off on a spring morning, but elegant and interesting to knit, with the wind theme echoed throughout. This shawl is worked from the neck down, beginning with a provisional cast on, from which a small section of border is worked. Stitches are picked up on the side of the flap (and live stitches from the provisional cast on, which gives live stitches on 3 sides. The border stitches continue in both directions while the shawl body stitches grow from the side of the flap. The shaping of the shawl is created using 4 yarn overs on every right side row. As it gets larger each row also gets longer than the last.
