I call this the City Shawl because it has no flowers, trees, leaves, or feathers worked into the lace. There's no fluttery finge. It's a supersimple, easily memorizable mesh lace pattern, interspersed with layers of just plain garter stitch. Straightforward design, straightforward instructions, clean lines.
If you start this on Friday night, you'll have a finished shawl to wear to work on Monday.
Skill Level: Easy!
Materials: ~300 yards bulky yarn
Gauge: 1.5 sts & 1.5 rows per inch in garter st.
Needles: Size 15US 24–inch (longer is OK) circular needle. (This garment is not worked in the round, the circular needle is needed in order to hold all of the stitches.)
Notions: Yarn needle for weaving in the ends.
